Very clean. Comfortable bed. Good wifi. Reasonable price for one night stay and parking for 14 days. Great location near airport and liked that car stayed at location for time away. No opportunity for breakfast as we left too early for flight. Friendy shuttle driver. Only complaint is that the shuttle is not 24 hours so when we arrive back to Norfolk Airport at midnight, we will have to get alternative transportation to the hotel to get our car.
All was great
The hotel is being renovated so we couldn’t use the entire main floor. Breakfast was good. French toast, sausage, eggs, cereal, yogurt, fruit. Very filling. We booked online for a parking package so we could leave the car there while we’re on a cruise. Nice suite however we didn’t get the king bed we had reserved. Probably due to the renovation process because the clerk wanted us to have a newly renovated suite. Very spacious and comfortable.
Very clean! Large room! Quiet!
As usual, the room was very clean and well stocked( except for facial tissue). Love the quiet environment as well. However, I was never informed that the water would be turned off the next morning, for repairs. I always shower in the morning, and you can imagine my surprise when the water did not turn on. My sister and I asked what happened as we were checking out. The front desk clerk explained that all guest were given a sheet, at check in, explaining the inconvenience. That may have been true for others, but I never received a sheet nor an explanation, at check in. This does not deter me from using Doubletree in the future, but, please explain to your front desk staff to double check and make sure all guest are thoroughly aware of any inconvenience.
We had to change our reservation for our cruise from Baltimore to Norfolk VA. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to ensure we got to the cruise port. They don’t normally offer a shuttle to the port but provided one to guests that needed to get there.
No luggage carts available—lack of interest on the part of the receptionist.
