We had a good sleep at the Howard Johnson and got to the airport in plenty of time. On the return, we couldn't find the pick up site for our return to the hotel to get our vehicle. We called the office twice and both times the personnel was not helpful at all in letting us know where we should be. In the 6 degree weather we finally took a taxi to the hotel the get our transportation home. I was disappointed with this service and will not use it again. There were no apologies on the part of the manager in the office.
Room was comfortable and service was great...shuttle was on time & my car was safe!
At check-in, Eddie at the front desk was exceptionally helpful in that he helped us locate a dentist for an emergency dental procedure and explained the shuttle service for our return trip 10 days later. Upon our return from the Dominican Republic the desk staff provided us with an ice scrapper and brush to remove snow from our car and get on our way home. We will definitely stay at this hotel in the future when flying out of Newark airport.
We stay one night before cruising. The hotel is good. room are clean. The pub on site serve good food. The breakfast is OK. Missing fruit.
Very convenient to shopping and Cruise Port
THE ROOM WAS CLEAN, THE STAFF WERE NICE AND ACCOMADATING. WE BOOKED A STAY, PARK, AND CRUISE PKG THAT INCLUDED BREAKFAST AND TRANSFER TO THE CRUISE PORT. THE VALVE FOR THIS PCK WAS EXCELLENT AT A TIME WHEN OTHER HOTELS THAT HAVE OFFERED SIMILAR PKGS IN THAT PAST, BUT HAVE CANCELED SUCH ASPECTS AE THE SHUTTLE SINCE COVID. WILL STAY HERE AGAIN
This hotel were very small room as was mentioned in the reviews I read, but the were very well kept. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was also good. There was a very large party of people when we were there that raided the breakfast food and took over all the tables, but the lady preparing all the food was working like crazy to keep up and stayed very pleasant under pressure. Also we have to mention Frank the bus driver, he is excellent right on time for transfers. When he says don't worry I will be there trust him. The only slight moan was he spent a long time at the toll booths having to pay out money explaining to every person in the booths what type of transport he is driving. He was charges the wrong price twice with us then they have to reverse the whole process. There were cars behind honking there horns at time. I don't understand why he doesn't have a pass so he can go straight through? I don't think I would like to stay in this hotel for a vacation, but for the purpose of flight or cruise transfer excellent
I had a wonderful nights sleep as per usual. The shuttle service on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. We waited at the airport for one hour and 20 minutes. When the Hilton shuttle driver(who had been there and back 3 times) saw we were still there he felt bad and gave us a ride. We should have been him after our drive by 145am instead it was 330am. Shuttle is every 45 minutes which is a problem.
